Yes, Lord Glazing is a FENSA registered company. This means all our window and door installations are self-certified for compliance with building regulations, saving you the cost and delay of a separate building control inspection. FENSA registration is your guarantee that work meets current thermal performance and safety standards.
Are your glaziers qualified and insured?
Every Lord Glazing engineer is fully qualified, holding relevant NVQ and City & Guilds certifications. We carry comprehensive public liability insurance and employers liability insurance. All our team members are DBS checked for your peace of mind when working in your home or business.
Can I choose my own glazier for an insurance claim?
Yes, you have the legal right to choose your own glazier for insurance work rather than using the insurer's preferred contractor. Many customers choose Lord Glazing for faster response, higher quality work and a smoother claims process. Simply tell your insurer that you wish to use your own contractor and provide our details.
Can you double glaze my existing sash windows?
Yes, we offer several options for improving sash window performance. We can install slim-profile double glazed units into your existing sash frames, fit secondary glazing on the inside, or supply new double glazed sash windows that replicate the original design. The best approach depends on the condition of your existing windows and any conservation area restrictions.
Can you install glass partitions in our office?
Absolutely. We supply and install frameless and framed glass partition systems for offices throughout London. Our partitions are available in single and double glazed options with acoustic ratings up to 45dB. We can include integral blinds, manifestation graphics and door hardware. Most office partition projects can be completed with minimal disruption to your working day.
Can you replace glass the same day?
In many cases, yes. Our emergency vans carry a stock of common glass sizes and types for immediate fitting. For less common glass specifications, such as specific sealed units or patterned glass, we may need to board up temporarily and return with the correct glass, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
